Strung With Poets' Sinews

Written by Fiona Sampson

Having worked in the past with composers including Sally Beamish and Steven Goss, I’m delighted that my poem Bee Sama (from the collection Coleshill) has been set by the Romanian/British composer Luminita Spinu, and will receive its premiere at King’s College in London on October 16. The evening will feature an In Conversation with a number of composers, including Michael Berkeley, and the performance of works which set words by me, David Malouf, John Fuller and Rainer Maria Rilke. The event is free, but booking is required. For more details and to book, visit the King’s College London website here. I look forward to seeing you there!
